Churcampa Huancavelica Mission
The Churcampa Mission focuses on bringing medical, humanitarian, and education aid to an underserved province in Huancavelica. As Huancavelica is one of the poorest regions of Peru, the existing medical center has limited resources, often requiring patients to travel nearly four hours away to the nearest hospital. Since 2017, we have helped the medical center expand with the addition of an operating room, providing a sterile space in which future medical missions can offer free care. This mission has also provided PPE during the COVID-19 pandemic, donated ambulatory medical equipment to the local firefighting department, and conducted English classes for the local children.
Medical Objectives
To expand the medical center of Churcampa. With the construction of the operating room in 2018, many obstetric patients now don’t need to be referred to the distant hospitals.
To offer services in primary care and several specialties.
To bring medical equipment and medicines.
Humanitarian Objectives
To bring help and donations to different entities in need such as the volunteer firefighters, nurseries, elementary and secondary schools.
To offer a scholarship for financially disadvantaged children, giving them the opportunity to graduate from school.
Educational Objectives
To organize educational workshops for the school children and adults. We are planning to do nutritional workshops in association with the secondary school.
To offer classes in English as a second language at the elementary and secondary schools.
